Cable operators cheer TRAI’s recommendations of legitimizing carriage fees

Riding high on TRAI’s recommendations, the cable operators are cheering the news of legitimizing the carriage fees. As per notification, multi-system operators are allowed to determine fees to carry channels on their network. These are fees that carriers of signals, such as cable TV operators charge from broadcasters.

Hathway Cable & Datacom is currently trading at Rs. 180.15, up by 24.65 points or 15.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 155.50 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 157.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 183.00 and Rs. 156.55 respectively. So far 380963 shares were traded on the counter.

Den Networks is currently trading at Rs. 114.70, up by 6.20 points or 5.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 108.50 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 111.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 116.90 and Rs. 109.75 respectively. So far 112060 shares were traded on the counter.

Wire & Wireless (India) is currently trading at Rs. 10.07, up by 0.35 points or 3.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 9.72 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 10.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 10.20 and Rs. 9.72 respectively. So far 473336 shares were traded on the counter.
