Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Company, pursuant to the Joint Venture guidelines issued by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for establishing joint venture companies by Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), Mazagon Dock, the premier defence shipyard of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has conveyed that Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Company has been chosen as its partner for formation of Joint Venture to build warships for Indian Navy.
Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Company is engaged in defence, offshore, marine and engineering sectors. The company has two units, one special economic zone (SEZ) unit spread over around 95 hectares of land and another export oriented unit (EOU) spread over around 103.92 hectares of land.
