FCI invites bids from interested buyers to sell 1429.95 MT of chana

Food Corporation of India (FCI) has invited bids from interested buyers for sale of 1429.95 MT of chana through auction to be held on December 27, 2016. The corporation has invited bids through Online Bidding/e-Auction conducted through platform of NCDEX eMarkets (NeML), the online trading system made available by NCDEX eMarkets, as per the terms and conditions prescribed hereunder.

 The empanelled buyers of FCI for wheat and rice, buyers of NAFED, SFAC and NCDEX having necessary licenses of trading and statutory approvals for purchase of pulses as per pre-requisites for bidding as mentioned in the contract note will be allowed to participate in the e-auction of pulses to be conducted by NeML for FCI.

FCI is the government’s nodal agency for foodgrain procurement and distribution. Of 1429.95 MT of chana available for auction, 722.05 MT is available in Rajasthan, while 550 MT, 1.80 MT and 156.10 MT are available in state of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh respectively.
