Great Eastern Shipping Company has reported results for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.
On the standalone basis, the company has reported net profit of Rs 10.17 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012, against net loss of Rs 31.96 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income increased by 38.51% at Rs 450.12 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 324.97 crore in the year-ago period.
On the consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 263.54% in its net profit at Rs 39.19 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 10.78 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 36.13% at Rs 826.30 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 606.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
