Futures & Options (F&O) total turnover stood at Rs 2,68,396.13 crore on January 2 and the total number of contracts traded on the day were 39,75,940.
Of the total turnover, Index Futures contributed Rs 13,846.53 crore, Stock Futures Rs 28,814.66 crore and Index Options Rs 2,10,569.88 crore, while the contribution of the Stock Options was of Rs 15,165.06 crore.
For the day, the total F&O Put Call ratio stood 0.90, while Index Options Put Call ratio was 0.94 and that of Stock Options was 0.50.
The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Ajanta Pharma (1.82), TVS Motor (1.80), Maruti Suzuki India (1.45), DLF (1.39) and Amara Raja Batteries (1.36).
Among most active underlying, State Bank of India witnessed an addition of 11.12 million of Open Interest in the January month futures contract, followed by Maruti Suzuki India witnessing an addition of 0.21 million of Open Interest in the January month contract, Tata Steel witnessed an addition of 0.89 million of Open Interest in the January month contract, Tata Motors witnessed an addition of 0.45 million units of Open Interest in the January month future contract and Vedanta witnessed an addition of 0.81 million units of Open Interest in the January month future contract.
