Grasim Industries reports 38.43% fall in Q4 net profit

Grasim Industries has reported results for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012

The Company has posted a fall of 38.43% in its net profit at Rs 243.55 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 395.54 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has decreased by 0.31% at Rs 1538.75 crore for quarter under review as compared Rs 1543.51 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011

On the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 7.97% in its net profit at Rs 808.78 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 878.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has decreased by 12.65% at Rs 6605.72 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 7562.59 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011

For the full year ended March 31, 2012, the company has posted a fall of 0.40% in its net profit at Rs 1177.00crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 1181.71 crore for the same period in the previous year. However total income has increased by 10.03% at Rs 5433.18 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4937.83 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.

On the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 16.17% in its net profit at Rs 2647.46crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 2279.01 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income has decreased by 15.55% at Rs 21949.33 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 25989.66 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.
