Aurobindo Pharma’s wholly owned step-down subsidiary Agile Pharma B.V., Netherlands has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% shareholding in Generis Farmaceutica S.A., a Portuguese company engaged in manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products in Portugal. This acquisition will be completed by February 2017 and the cost of acquisition will be 135 Million Euro. This acquisition establishes Aurobindo as the leading generics group in Portugal.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
