National Aluminium Company (NALCO) plans to raise production capacity during 2016-17 to 73.25 lakh tonnes (LT) from about 68.25 LT. The company had posted strong growth of 18% in Bauxite mining, in 2016, the highest since inception and a record in the mining industry.
Besides, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Utkal University for collaboration in R & D Projects, baseline and impact assessment survey for CSR Projects and Industry Institution Interaction.

Its integrated operations cover the entire aluminium production value chain from mining bauxite, refining alumina, smelting aluminium, captive power generation to a strong logistic network in terms of rail & port facilities, coal mining and handling plant to support its operations and to become one of the most cost-efficient aluminium companies across the globe.
