Nalco moves higher on buzz of inaugurating Research & Technology Centre at Bhubaneswar

National Aluminium Company is currently trading at Rs 66.35, up by 1.05 points or 1.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 65.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 65.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 66.80 and Rs. 65.40 respectively. So far 165195 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 72.45 on 08-Dec-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.75 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 68.00 and Rs. 64.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17138.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.19% and 9.23% respectively.

In order to boost research initiatives, including development of new products & alloys, National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has reportedly inaugurated a Research & Technology Centre at Bhubaneswar.

The company has already set a niche for itself in the field of R&D in the aluminium industry of the country. The new Research and Technology Centre of the company would further augment its efforts to meet the R&D requirements of the future and provide immense competitive benefits. Further, the R&D centre has already registered 29 patents of which five have been commercialised.
