Andhra Petrochemicals rises on resuming operations at Visakhapatnam plant

Andhra Petrochemicals is currently trading at Rs 26.35, up by 1.25 points or 4.98% from its previous closing of Rs 25.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 26.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 26.35 and Rs 25.05 respectively. So far 187629 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'XC' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 28.95 on 09-Dec-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 9.90 on 17-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 26.35 and Rs 21.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 214.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.05% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.05% and 54.89% respectively.

Andhra Petrochemicals has resumed operations of its plant at Visakhapatnam from January 10, 2017. The company had temporarily shut down operations of its plant from December 19, 2016. The plant was shut due to surge in imports coupled with transportation constraints.

Andhra Petrochemicals was promoted by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (APIDC) and The Andhra Sugars (ASL) as a joint sector company The company's principal activity is manufacture and sale of oxo alcohols. The oxo alcohol products are ethyl hexanol, normal butanol and iso butanol.
