Infosys declines despite reporting 7% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 983.00, down by 17.05 points or 1.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 1000.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1026.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1045.00 and Rs. 964.00 respectively. So far 884179 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1278.00 on 03-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 900.30 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1045.00 and Rs. 964.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 225559.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 12.76%, while institutions and non-institutions held 57.57% and 12.90% respectively.

Infosys has reported 13.78% rise in its net profit at Rs 3599 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3163 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 10.18% at Rs 15754 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 14299 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.      

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 7.01% rise in its net profit at Rs 3708 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 3465 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total Income of the company increased by 8.32% to Rs 18093 crore for quarter under review from Rs 16704 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015.
