Idea Cellular jumps on plan to raise Rs 500 crore via NCDs

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 70.15, up by 1.10 points or 1.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 69.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 69.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.55 and Rs. 69.00 respectively. So far 504051 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 128.05 on 28-Apr-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 66.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 75.45 and Rs. 66.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25283.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.45%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.22% and 26.33% respectively.

IDEA Cellular, one of the leading telecom operators in the country, has decided to raise Rs 500 crore via non-convertible debentures (NCDs). This would be the third fund raising round by Idea within a period of two months. The company is issuing NCDs on January 17 on National Stock Exchange on which it will offer 7.77% annual interest. The date of maturity for these NCDs will be January 17, 2022.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
