The January currency future was trading at 68.04 with a spread of 0.0050 and a volume of 242397. The contract opened stronger at 68.02 compared to its previous closing of 68.0450. The open interest (OI) stood at 1,785,497 down by 0.59% compared to its previous close of 1,796,005.
The rupee had closed at 67.96 on Tuesday, while the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) reference rate stood at 68.0509.
