The partially convertible rupee is currently trading at 67.9550, flat compared to its Tuesday’s close at 67.96. The rupee opened at 67.93 and touched day’s high of 67.9825 and low of 67.8925.
The January currency future was trading at 68.04 with a spread of 0.0050 and a volume of 242397. The contract opened stronger at 68.02 compared to its previous closing of 68.0450. The open interest (OI) stood at 1,785,497 down by 0.59% compared to its previous close of 1,796,005.
The rupee had closed at 67.96 on Tuesday, while the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) reference rate stood at 68.0509.
