Dredging Corporation bags international contract worth Rs 102 crore

Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has secured Rs 102 crore international contract for dredging in Pussur channel from Mongla Port to Rampal Power Plant, Bangladesh in global competitive bidding. The Mongla Port, Bangladesh contract is the first international contract secured by DCI through global competitive bidding.

DCI has participated in an international tender for dredging in Pussur channel, Bangladesh invited by Mongla Port Authority, Bangladesh during June 2016. 12 parties have participated in the pre-qualification stage out of which 5 parties were qualified for next stage of bidding including DCI. The value of the contract is Rs 102 crore payable 50% in US Dollars and 50% in Bangladesh Takka. The quantum of dredging is around 3.88 Million Cum to be completed within 15 months.

DCI is the premier dredging company in India and is the only PSU company offering dredging services. Established in 1976, the Company provides dredging and allied services to Ports, Indian Navy etc.
