India Cements moves higher on reporting around eleven-fold jump in Q3 net profit

India Cements is currently trading at Rs. 145.45, up by 0.60 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 144.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 145.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 146.80 and Rs. 143.15 respectively. So far 223396 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 164.00 on 10-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 64.00 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 149.10 and Rs. 135.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4477.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.51%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.13% and 26.36% respectively.

India Cements has posted around eleven-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 35.34 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to Rs 3.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 19.21% at Rs 1270.95 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1066.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

India Cements is the largest producer of cement in South India and one of the largest cement manufacturer in the country with a total installed cement manufacturing capacity of 14.05 mtpa (million tonnes per annum).
