Coal India reports 55.99 MT of production in January 2017

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 55.99 million tones (MT) in January 2017, as against a target of 61.04 MT. The company’s total off-take for the month of January stood at 51.35 MT, as against a target of 55.73 MT.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
