Idea Cellular plans to raise Rs 1000 crore

Idea Cellular is planning to raise Rs 1,000 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures on private placement basis. The debentures, having tenure of seven years, will carry a coupon rate of 8.12 per cent per annum. The debentures are secured against movable fixed assets excluding spectrum/telecom licences, passive telecom infrastructure and employee assets up to Rs 250 crore.

Idea Cellular is an Aditya Birla Group Company, India's first truly multinational corporation. Idea is a pan-India integrated GSM operator offering 2G and 3G services, and has its own NLD and ILD operations, and ISP license.
