GMDC declines on reporting marginal fall in Q3 net profit

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation is currently trading at Rs 113.70, down by 6.30 points or 5.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 120.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 118.10 and Rs. 113.00 respectively. So far 157467 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 123.10 on 30-Jan-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 52.35 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 122.70 and Rs. 113.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3637.92 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.94% and 12.06% respectively.

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has reported marginal fall of 0.15% in its net profit at Rs 46.54 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 46.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 39.22% at Rs 424.87 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 305.17 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

GMDC is engaged in business of mining and mineral processing. The company manufactures two grades of fluorspar namely acid and metallurgical. It owns two bauxite reserve located at Kutch and Jamnagar.
