Bharat Forge gains despite reporting 21% drop in Q3 net profit

Bharat Forge is currently trading at Rs. 976.80, up by 9.25 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 967.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 972.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 985.00 and Rs. 968.00 respectively. So far 40322 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1008.50 on 14-Dec-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 686.80 on 24-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1002.75 and Rs. 945.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 22802.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.75%, while institutions and non-institutions held 34.98% and 19.27% respectively.

Bharat Forge has reported 21.48% fall in its net profit at Rs 128.62 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 163.81 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.84% at Rs 1010.76 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1133.64 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

Bharat Forge is engaged in manufacturing of close die and open die forging, crankshafts, front axle beams, steering knuckle, connecting rods, rocker arm and many more components.
