Hathway Cable slips on reporting net loss of Rs 44.40 crore in Q3

Hathway Cable & Datacom is currently trading at Rs. 36.00, down by 0.10 points or 0.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 36.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 36.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 36.90 and Rs. 35.95 respectively. So far 30,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 43.70 on 16-Mar-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 24.00 on 30-Sep-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 37.45 and Rs. 35.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,989.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.48%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.65% and 16.87% respectively.

The company has posted a net loss of Rs 44.40 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to a net loss of Rs 41.18 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015. Total income of the company increased by 19.47% at Rs 339.28 crore for Q3FY17 as compared Rs 283.99 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

Hathway holds a PAN India ISP license and is the first cable television services provider to offer broadband Internet services. It is currently India’s largest cable broadband services provider, with approximately 1.4 million two-way broadband enabled homes.
