SAIL reports net loss of Rs 794.84 crore in Q3

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2016.  

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 794.84 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to a net loss of Rs 1481.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 21.64% at Rs 12688.47 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 10176.46 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
