Gail (India) reports 45% jump in Q3 net profit

Gail (India) has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2016.

The company has reported 45.45% rise in its net profit at Rs 982.92 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 675.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 8.65% at Rs 12594.16 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 13786.04 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

GAIL (India) is India’s principal Natural Gas Company with activities ranging from Gas Transmission and Marketing to Processing (for fractionating LPG, Propane, SBP Solvent and Pentane); transmission of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG); production and marketing of Petrochemicals like HDPE and LLDPE and leasing bandwidth in Telecommunications.
