Suzlon Energy advances on reporting stellar numbers in Q3

Suzlon Energy is currently trading at Rs. 18.50, up by 1.30 points or 7.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 18.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 19.10 and Rs. 18.30 respectively. So far 55,27,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 19.10 on 12-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 12.47 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19.10 and Rs. 15.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9,295.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 20.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.03% and 56.77% respectively.

The company has reported over threefold jump in its net profit after tax at Rs 364.22 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 113.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 89.50% at Rs 2673.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1410.86 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 274.34 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to a net loss of Rs 121.84 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 75.80% at Rs 3336.82 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1898.09 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
