Graphite electrode major, Graphite India has reported an over two-fold increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 102.96 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2012 as compared to Rs 44.54 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
The company’s net sales on standalone basis during the quarter was Rs 441.06 crore during the quarter as against a sales of Rs 296 crore during the corresponding period last year.
On consolidated basis for the year ended 2011-12, the net profit of the company was Rs 212.48 crore as against Rs 189.11 crore in the previous year.
The company is engaged in manufacturing of graphite electrodes. Besides graphite electrodes, the company also manufactures anodes, other miscellaneous carbon and graphite products and calcined petroleum coke.
