Trent signs MOU with Inditex Group to promote Massimo Dutti stores

Trent, the flagship retail arm of Tata, has entered into an MOU with the Inditex Group to develop and promote Massimo Dutti stores in India. As per the MOU signed, ZARA Holding BV an Inditex group company will hold 51% and Trent will hold 49% in the proposed JV company.

Trent may set up a couple of stores in metros in the initial years. Massimo Dutti has 542 stores in 50 countries and offers a variety of collections, from high-end fashion to easy-going casual wear.

Currently the Trent operates 36 Westside stores measuring 15,000-30,000 square feet each across Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Nagpur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Surat, Mysore and Rajkot.
