GlaxoSmithKline gains on introducing Horlicks Aahar Abhiyan

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare is currently trading at Rs. 2799.00, up by 15.10 points or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs. 2783.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2800.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2800.00 and Rs. 2780.00 respectively. So far 45 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2939.85 on 26-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2136.00 on 17-May-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2800.00 and Rs. 2616.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11733.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.16% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.03% and 24.80% respectively.

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, makers of the brand Horlicks has introduced Horlicks Aahar Abhiyan on May 14, 2012. This campaign will aim to address issues of malnutrition among the youth. The company has roped in actor Vidya Balan as brand ambassador for the campaign.

Under the campaign, GlaxoSmithKline will contribute Re 1 towards the initiative from the sale of Horlicks in the state. In West Bengal, the company will partner a non-governmental organization called Child in Need Institute.

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare’s core business is manufacturing of health drinks under the brand Horlicks. It exports products to countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Middle East, Fiji, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan and many more.
