Coal India rises on reporting 54.30 MT of production in February 2017

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 323.10, up by 2.10 points or 0.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 321.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 323.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 323.70 and Rs. 319.10 respectively. So far 19,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 349.85 on 17-Aug-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 272.05 on 12-Apr-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 332.10 and Rs. 319.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,00,561.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 79.78%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.76% and 2.47% respectively.

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 54.30 million tones (MT) in February 2017, as against a target of 56.81 MT. The company’s total off-take for the month of February stood at 47.73 MT, as against a target of 50.61 MT.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
