Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Wednesday as the market failed to gain strength in the absence of genuine buyers. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 154/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 155/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety weakened to Rs 142/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 143/ kg.
In the futures market, March delivery improved to Rs 148.02 compared to its previous closing of Rs 143.85, while April delivery closed at Rs 154.26 compared to its previous close of Rs 149.65 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
