Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Tuesday on account of buyer resistance in the market reacting to the sharp declines in the domestic and global trendsetters. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 154/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 155/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety weakened to Rs 143/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 143.50/ kg.
In the futures market, March delivery fell to Rs 145.15 compared to its previous closing of Rs 147.10, while April delivery closed at Rs 150.66 compared to its previous close of Rs 152.91 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
