V-Guard gains on receiving nod to acquire majority stake in Guts Electromech

V-Guard Industries is currently trading at Rs. 172.30, up by 2.15 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 170.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 173.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 173.10 and Rs. 171.65 respectively. So far 19,187 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 186.35 on 07-Mar-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.69 on 29-Mar-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 174.70 and Rs. 167.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7,308.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.52% and 11.07% respectively.

V-Guard Industries has received in-principle approval from its board to acquire a majority stake in Guts Electromech. The company’s board gave approval for the same at meeting held on March 28, 2017. However, the company did not disclose the investment figures.

Guts Electromech is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of various kinds of domestic switch gears and power transformers, while V-Guard Industries manufactures a wide range of products namely voltage stabilizers, pumps, electric water heaters, solar water heaters, cables, UPS, ceiling fans, etc.
