Heritage Foods commissions distributed captive solar power plants

Heritage Foods (HFL) has commissioned (Off Grid) distributed captive solar power plants at its six various locations namely, Bobbili Packing Station, (Andhra Pradesh), Battiprolu Packing Station (Andhra Pradesh), Kallur Packing Station (Telangana), Sangavi Packing Station (Maharashtra), Vada Madurai Packing Station (Tamil Nadu) and Bangalore Packing Station (Karnataka) with total capacity of 1.66 KWp on March 29, 2017.

The key objective is to optimize energy mix by use of Clean & Green (Renewable) energy sources to reduce carbon emissions and to secure energy at low cost. The company increased its renewable energy capacity to 8.2MW with 2.34MW Solar Power, 1.66MW distributed solar power and 4.20MW wind power in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for the captive consumption of its dairy plants.
