V-Guard Industries advances on the buzz of launching ‘smart’ inverter

V-Guard Industries is currently trading at Rs. 184.00, up by 2.20 points or 1.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 181.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 183.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 186.80 and Rs. 181.05 respectively. So far 59,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 186.80 on 10-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 64.83 on 08-Apr-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 186.80 and Rs. 173.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7,822.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.52% and 11.07% respectively.

V-Guard Industries has reportedly launched an inverter which can be operated through a mobile smartphone. The ‘smart’ inverter comes with features such as knowing when the charge of the battery is going low, fast charging, battery usage and back-up, amongst other features. These features can be activated once a person downloads the app from Play Store.

The 'smart' inverter is priced in the range of Rs 10,900-Rs 18,990 and will be available in all leading electronic, electrical, home appliances, and battery stores in the South.

Further, through the app a user can register a complaint, which will be notified to the customer service centre, who will then tend to the problem and figure out whether there is a need for a service engineer.
