Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has been awarded with the prestigious SCOPE Award for Best Practices in Human Resource Management for the year 2014-15. The award was presented at the Public Sector Day function organized by SCOPE at Vigyan Bhawan on April 11, 2017. The company was earlier awarded in the same category for the year 2011-12.
SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
