Physical Rubber prices extend weakness on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices extended weakness on Wednesday, tracking the sharp declines in the global markets. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 139/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 141/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety weakened to Rs 136/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 137.50/ kg.

In the futures market, contract for May delivery fell to Rs 136.91 compared to its previous closing of Rs 137.16, while June delivery closed at Rs 139.84 compared to its previous close of Rs 140.23 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
