Radico Khaitan, India’s oldest and largest liquor manufacturers has redeemed all of its remaining $50 million, 3.5% Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs) that were issued in July and August 2006.
The final redemption for these FCCBs of $44.22 million (inclusive of premium) was made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the issue. The company is therefore not required to allot any equity shares arising out of a potential conversion of these remaining FCCBs.
Radico Khaitan’s principal activity is to manufacture and market liquor in India. The company’s brands include 8PM Royale, 8PM Bermuda XXX, Contessa, Old Admiral VSOP, Black Cat and Whitefield. Its distilleries are located in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
