Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has taken physical delivery of a secondhand Suezmax tanker of 158,710 DWT capacity - m.t. ‘Desh Abhimaan’ (81,084 GT) on April 26, 2017.
The company had recently inked a memorandum of agreement with Fidelity Shipping Corporation, Liberia for acquisition of one suezmax tanker, having deadweight of about 158710 tons.
SCI is the only Indian shipping company operating break-bulk service, international container service, liquid / dry bulk service, offshore service, passenger service, in addition to manning / managing a large number of vessels on behalf of various government departments and organizations.
