Dalmia Bharat jumps on emerging top bidder for Chhattisgarh limestone block

Dalmia Bharat is currently trading at Rs. 2204.00, up by 13.45 points or 0.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 2190.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2205.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2217.95 and Rs. 2198.50 respectively. So far 2827 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2220.00 on 13-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 794.00 on 06-May-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2217.95 and Rs. 2082.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19608.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.76%, while institutions and non-institutions held 13.43% and 28.80% respectively.

Dalmia Bharat has emerged as the preferred bidder for Kesla II limestone block in Raipur District. The Chhattisgarh government has auctioned for the same on May 2, 2017. With 215 million tonnes of reserves, the block has an estimated value of mineral resource of Rs 10,367 crore.

At a reserve price of 5%, the block received a highest bid of 96.15% which translates into estimated cumulative revenue of Rs 11,894 crore to the State government over the lease period.

The State will gain Rs 9,968 crore over the lease period through the auctions alone. Income from royalty stands at Rs 1,720 crore, District Mineral Foundation (DMF) at Rs 172 crore and National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET) at Rs 34.4 crore.
