HDFC reports 11% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

HDFC has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2017.  

The company has reported a fall of 21.59% in its net profit at Rs 2044.20 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 2607.05 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 7.71% at Rs 8514.51 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 9225.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 11.01% in its net profit after tax, minority interests and share of profit of associates at Rs 3079.33 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 3460.46 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY16. However, total income of the company increased by 5.35% at Rs 18040.59 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 17125.05 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.  

For the year ended March 31, 2017, the company has posted a rise of 4.93% in its net profit at Rs 7442.64 crore as compared to Rs 7093.10 crore in FY16. Total income of company increased by 7.12% at Rs 33159.60 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 30956.57 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2017, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 8.45% in its net profit after tax, minority interests and share of profit of associates at Rs 11051.12 crore as compared to Rs 10190.26 crore in the previous year. Total income from operations of company has increased by 14.70% at Rs 61087.63 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 53257.11 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.
