Physical Rubber prices end sharply lower on Friday

Physical Rubber prices ended sharply lower on Friday, as Asian markets lost further ground. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 134/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 138/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety weakened to Rs 130/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 135/ kg.

In the futures market, contract for May delivery fell to Rs 127.85 compared to its previous closing of Rs 132.30, while June delivery closed at Rs 132.08 compared to its previous close of Rs 137.22 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
