Natco Pharma gains after RBI hikes FII investment limit to 49%

Natco Pharma is currently trading at Rs. 958.00, up by 23.85 points or 2.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 934.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 953.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 967.00 and Rs. 945.80 respectively. So far 23,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1015.00 on 18-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 443.00 on 24-May-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 967.00 and Rs. 889.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16,698.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.24%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.70% and 22.05% respectively.

Reserve Bank of India has notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Foreign Portfolios Investors (FPIs) can now invest up to 49% of the paid up capital of Natco Pharma under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS).

The company has already passed resolutions at its Board of Directors’ level and a special resolution by general body agreeing for enhancing the FII/FPI investment limit under Portfolio Investment Scheme from 31.50% to 49% of the paid up capital of the company.
