Capital First declines on Warburg Pincus selling 25% stake

Capital First is currently trading at Rs. 716.30, down by 7.65 points or 1.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 723.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 719.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 725.95 and Rs. 713.45 respectively. So far 72729 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 814.80 on 10-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 465.10 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 800.00 and Rs. 713.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6989.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.06%, while institutions and non-institutions held 14.66% and 24.28% respectively.

Cloverdell Investment, an affiliate of Warburg Pincus has sold 25% stake in Capital First to marquee Foreign and domestic investors. Cloverdell Investment continues to be the Promoter of the company with 36% stake in Capital First.

As part of this transaction, GIC, a Sovereign Wealth Fund established by the Government of Singapore, has acquired incremental 8.93% stake in Capital First taking GIC’s total shareholding in Capital First to 13.91%. GIC is a leading global investment firm with well over $100 billion in assets under management in more than 40 countries across the world.

Capital First is an MSME and consumer financing company which provides debt financing to these segments and also offers home loans, two wheeler loans and durable loans to entry and mid-level salaried employees of corporates.
