Futures & Options (F&O) total turnover stood at Rs 8,65,003.26 crore on May 18 and the total number of contracts traded on the day were 1,03,65,048.
Of the total turnover, Index Futures contributed Rs 17,479.53 crore, Stock Futures Rs 60,696.27 crore and Index Options Rs 7,37,288.17 crore, while the contribution of the Stock Options was of Rs 49,539.30 crore.
For the day, the total F&O Put Call ratio stood 0.98, while Index Options Put Call ratio was 1.03 and that of Stock Options was 0.50.
The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Bharti Airtel (1.52), Kotak Bank (1.49), TVS Motor (1.47), Britannia Industries (1.42) and Eicher Motors (1.38).
Among most active underlying, Tata Steel witnessed a contraction of 3.53 million units of Open Interest in the May month futures contract, followed by ICICI Bank witnessing a contraction of 3.64 million units of Open Interest in the May month contract, CESC witnessed an addition of 0.12 million units of Open Interest in the May month contract, State Bank of India witnessed a contraction of 1.92 million units of Open Interest in the May month future contract and Yes Bank witnessed a contraction of 0.27 million units of Open Interest in the May month future contract.
