Bharat Forge has reported results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2012.
The company’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 fell by 45.24% to Rs 55.12 crore as compared to Rs 100.65 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011. However, the total income has increased by 18.40% to Rs 991.61 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 837.49 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company’s net profit jumped by 16.48% to Rs 362.07 crore as compared to Rs 310.83 crore for the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 25.51% to Rs 3752.08 crore for the year from Rs 2989.43 crore in the previous year.
On consolidated basis, the Group’s net profit stood at Rs 413.04 crore for the year under review as compared to Rs 290.16 crore for the period ago, up by 42.35%. Its total income has increased by 23.55% to Rs 6368.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 from Rs 5154.44 crore in the previous year.
