Wipro trades in green on the BSE

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 404.70, up by 5.85 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 398.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 398.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 404.70 and Rs. 397.70 respectively. So far 23,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 452.50 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 310.20 on 19-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 405.65 and Rs. 378.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 99,504 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.41% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.08% and 9.81% respectively.

Wipro’s not-for-profit trust Mission10X, which was introduced in 2007 has bagged best practice award at the 13th Annual Corporate University Xchange Awards for Excellence and Innovation. Mission10X works for improving the employability skills of engineering graduates in India. Wipro, India’s third-largest software services exporter has posted a rise of 1.02% net profit of Rs 1351.30 crore for the fourth quarter of FY 11-12 as compared to Rs 1337.60 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 10-11. Its total income registered a growth of 19.93% at Rs 8861.50 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 7389.10 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
