The company has reported a net loss of Rs 17.13 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 3.54 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. It has reported net sales / income from operations of Rs 221.73 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 205.41 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 131.54 crore as compared to Rs 127.25 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010, up 3%. The company has reported net sales / income from operations of Rs 2038.68 crore for the year under review against Rs 1624.76 crore for the year ago period.
Bayer CropScience is engaged in manufacturing of crop protection products, non agricultural pest-control, seeds and plant biotechnology.
