Bayer CropScience gains on getting nod for buyback of shares

Bayer CropScience is currently trading at Rs. 4740.00, up by 8.45 points or 0.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 4731.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4782.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4798.85 and Rs. 4711.05 respectively. So far 281 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5050.00 on 02-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3680.15 on 21-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5050.00 and Rs. 4507.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16757.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.58%, while institutions and non-institutions held 20.18% and 11.24% respectively.

Bayer CropScience has received its board’s approval for buyback of 1.02 million shares at a price of Rs 4900 per share. The shares would be bought back from all the shareholders on a proportionate basis through the Tender Offer route at a price of Rs 4900 per share, aggregating to about Rs 500 crore.

Bayer CropScience is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of crop-protection solutions, and trades in seeds on behalf of group company Bayer Bioscience.
