National Aluminium Company (Nalco) is currently trading at Rs. 65.45, up by 0.25 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 65.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 65.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 65.90 and Rs. 65.30 respectively. So far 70,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 79.85 on 06-Mar-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 40.70 on 24-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 67.10 and Rs. 64.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12,651.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.58%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.16% and 8.27% respectively.

Nalco has reportedly put all its overseas projects on hold, including one in Iran. This step has been taken by the company in order to focus on expanding domestic capacity. Last year, the company had signed an agreement with Iran’s mining development body to explore the possibility of building an aluminium smelter.

Nalco has the largest integrated alumina-aluminium complex of Asia. Its integrated operations cover the entire aluminium production value chain from mining bauxite, refining alumina, smelting aluminium, captive power generation to a strong logistic network in terms of rail & port facilities, coal mining and handling plant to support its operations and to become one of the most cost-efficient aluminium companies across the globe.
