Sagar Cements jumps on commencing power generation from 6 MW waste heat recovery plant

Sagar Cements is currently trading at Rs. 830.00, up by 6.00 points or 0.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 824.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 830.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 830.00 and Rs. 830.00 respectively. So far 100 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 940.00 on 16-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 572.50 on 11-Aug-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 849.95 and Rs. 820.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1693.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.04%, while institutions and non-institutions held 18.93% and 31.03% respectively.

Sagar Cements has commenced generation of power from a 6 MW waste heat recovery plant with effect from June 19, 2017 and the same is expected to stabilize in due course.

Earlier in March, the board had approved setting-up of a 6 MW Waste Heat Recovery Plant at its cement plant in Mattampally, Nalgonda District in state of Telangana.
