Gujarat State Fertilisers surges on registering 12% growth in Q4 net profit

Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 432.00, up by 8.20 points or 1.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 423.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 428.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 436.70 and Rs. 424.50 respectively. So far 7074 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 503.95 on 14-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 322.00 on 30-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 436.70 and Rs. 415.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3459.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.84% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.17% and 22.99% respectively. 

Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals (GSFC) has registered 12.28% growth in its net profit to Rs 230.34 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 205.14 crore in the year-ago period. The net sales of the company rose by 36.30% to Rs 1,530 crore in quarter under review from Rs 1,122.49 crore in the same quarter of the 2010-11 fiscal.

For the full year, the net profit of the company increases to Rs 757.57 crore from Rs 749.37 crore in the previous financial year, up by 1.09%. The net sales of the company rose 11.50% to Rs 5,301.83 crore from Rs 4,755.05 crore in the previous year.
