Reliance Communications trades higher on the bourses

Reliance Communications is currently trading at Rs. 63.95, up by 0.05 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 63.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 64.50 and Rs. 62.70 respectively. So far 546629 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 109.70 on 22-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 61.00 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 68.55 and Rs. 62.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13189.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.86% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.72% and 15.04% respectively.

The company’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 rose by 39.83% to Rs 804.00 crore as compared to Rs 575.00 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011. However, total income has decreased by 16.47% to Rs 2840.00 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 3400.00 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 156.00 crore as compared to a net loss of Rs 758.00 crore for the previous year. However, the company’s total income has decreased by 10.68% to Rs 11863.00 crore for the year from Rs 13282.00 crore in the previous year.

On consolidated basis, the Group’s net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of associates stood at Rs 928.00 crore for the year under review as compared to Rs 1345.00 crore for the period ago, down by 31%. Its total income has declined by 12.03% to Rs 20382.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 from Rs 23169.00 crore in the previous year.
